Mrs. Mildred "Billie" Fesperman Carter, 75 of Salisbury, NC died Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury.
Billie was born on March 6, 1932 in Rowan County the daughter of the late Hoke Fesperman and Mamie Corl Fesperman. She was a graduate of Rockwell High School and a life member of St. James Lutheran Church, member of the Choir and played Piano for Sunday School. Billie had worked for Cannon Mills for 30 years before her retirement.
In addition to her parents, Billie is also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth H. Carter on November 18, 2002.
Survivors; daughter, Debra Kay Lester and husband, Richard of Richfield, brothers; J.C. "Eli" Fesperman of Portsmouth, VA, Larry Wayne Fesperman of Rockwell, sisters; Shirley Cline and Edith Duncan of Rockwell.
Visitation: 4:00-6:00 PM Saturday at Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at St. James Lutheran Church, Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Craig Sigmon, Pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
