Olen Ray Leonard, 88, of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
Born in Davidson County on August 21, 1927, he was the son of the late Robert Grady Leonard, Sr. and Lennie Wilson Leonard. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Leonard and Robert Grady Leonard, Jr.
Olen attended Davidson County schools. He is a U. S. Army veteran. He retired from Bennett Distributing Company as the operations manager.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Myrtle Wilson; three step sons: Jerry Earnhardt of Faith, Douglas Earnhardt (Betty Jo) of Gold Hill and Ricky Earnhardt of Rockwell; 3 step daughters: Sabrina Kelley of Salisbury, Robin Basinger (Harry) of Carolina Beach and Kay Rich (Joe) of Wilmington, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved family members and friends.
Visitation: 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 355 East Ridge Road, Salisbury, NC.
Services: 2: 00 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Bethel Lutheran Church.
Burial: Rowan Memorial Park, with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating, immediately following services. Military rites will be conducted by Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Kiser Hospice House, or Faithful Friends.
