Angie Elizabeth Kirk Sides
Angie Elizabeth Kirk Sides, 84, of Sherrills Ford, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, after a period of declining health. She was born on November 16, 1920, to the late J. Hinton and Mabel Lipe Kirk in Rowan County.
Mrs. Sides was a graduate of China Grove High School and Marlboro Business College. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Cecil E. Sides.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth E. Sides; and a daughter, Nina S. Eckard and husband Jerry, both of Sherrills Ford; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Sherrills Ford, with the Rev. Joseph M. Westfall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Mission Fund, 4136 Mt. Pleasant Road, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673.
