GRANITE QUARRY -- The funeral will be Friday for Leslie Allen McCombs, 72, Granite Quarry, who died Tuesday (July 22, 2003) at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, from an apparent heart attack.
Born Dec. 6, 1930, in Rowan County, Mr. McCombs, a son of the late Allen H. and Iris Peeler McCombs, was educated in the Rowan County schools. He was of the Baptist faith and had retired from Residential Guttering.
Survivors include wife Betty Wilson McCombs; son Allen McCombs, Salisbury; daughters Velvet Bellamy, Rockwell, and Tammy Snyder, Palm Harbor, Fla.; brothers Norris and John McCombs, both of Faith; sisters Belenda Maybell Stone, Kings Mountain, and Dianne Wright and Janice Hatley, both of Faith; and five grandchildren.
Services: Graveside, noon Friday, West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, conducted by the Rev. Bruce Rabon, pastor, Highest Praise Family Worship Center.
Visitation: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
