Martha Jo Hoffner Almond
ALBEMARLE - Martha Jo Hoffner Almond, 66, of Albemarle, died at her home, Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2005).
Mrs. Almond was born in Rowan County on March 21st, 1939; a daughter of the late Johnnie Mack and Lucille Basinger Hoffner. Martha Jo was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church, she retired from Metal Forge after 18 years of service and was also an aid for Albemarle Homecare.
Survivors include sons Danny Ray Almond and wife Cathy of New London; John Almond and wife Kathy also of New London; brother Don Hoffner of Gold Hill; sisters Hilda Morgan of Gold Hill, Betty Jean Holshouser of Rockwell and grandchildren Jeremy Almond, Holli Almond and Ashley Almond.
Services: 2 PM., Thursday, September 29, 2005 at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Albemarle with Rev. Charles Bowers officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation: The family will meet at the home on Pickler Road, Albemarle.
Memorials: Hospice of Stanly County.

ALBEMARLE - Martha Jo Hoffner Almond, 66, of Albemarle, died at her home, Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2005).
