In 1917 Grant was working for Bethlehem Steel in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In 1920 he was a machinist in Baltimore. In 1930, he was a manager of an electric tool company in Margate City, NJ. In 1942 he was employed at Black & Decker in Baltimore. He was a salesman when he retired and was living near Mt. Pleasant when he died.
