Tuesday, March 13, 2012 — Sylvia Ann Lambert, age 70, of Locust, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at her home, with her family by her side.
The family will receive friends at Immanuel Baptist Church of Albemarle on Wednesday, March 14 from 1-2 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Joe Smith. Burial will follow at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
At other times, the family will meet at her home.
Mrs. Lambert was born in Stanly County on November 11, 1941, to the late Vernon Ray Lambert and the late Mattie Margaret Whitley Lambert.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Benjamin Lambert, of the home; one son, Johnny Lambert and friend Margaret Boutwell of Locust; two daughters, Tracy Bara and friend David Lewis of Asheboro and Sherrie Smith and her husband Jamie of Oakboro; two brothers, Jerry Lambert and Ray Lambert, both of Albemarle; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County.
