BADIN — The funeral will be Thursday for Myrtie Rejina Carter Crook, 92, 120 Pine St., who died Wednesday (Sept. 1, 1999) at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle.
Born March 21, 1907, in Rowan County, Mrs. Crook was a daughter of the late Louranzo Dow and Annie Levina Poole Carter. She was a retired homemaker.
Her husband, Ernest Delma Crook, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons Hubert and Tommy Crook, both of the home; daughter Mrs. Joe (Aleene Crook) Hicks, Badin; sister Alice Vanhoy, Salisbury; stepbrother Albert Trexlar, Newport News, Va.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. Dan Abernathy. Burial, Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 tonight at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home on Pine Street.
Memorials: Badin Baptist Church, or Badin Fire Department.
