Evelyn Poole Crook
Evelyn Poole Crook, 78, Salisbury, died Thursday (Dec. 2, 1999) at her home after several months of illness.
Born Feb. 9, 1921, in Rowan County, Mrs. Crook was a daughter of the late Clyde C. and Mary Stoner Poole. Educated in the Rowan County schools, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and WELCA.
Her husband, Rufus Clinton Crook, died Oct. 31, 1989.
Survivors include son Eddie Crook, Salisbury; daughter Joan C. Everhardt, Richfield; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Bill Jeffcoat, pastor, and Jeremy Magoon, vicar. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell. At other times the family will be at the home.
Memorials: St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Building Fund.
