Mildred L. Kuykendall
SALISBURY - Mrs. Mildred Lippard Kuykendall, 83, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.
Mrs. Kuykendall was born June 19, 1929, in Rowan County, daughter of the late C.L. "Dick" Lippard and Maude Lyerly Lippard.
She attended Faith School and was a graduate of Granite Quarry High School. She retired from Cannon Mills Swink Plant as a weaver. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Mrs. Kuykendall loved plants and crocheting. She loved her family and the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Fairbanks Kuykendall, who passed away July 11, 2001; and by twin brothers who passed away at birth.
She is survived by her sister, Betty June Lippard of Salisbury; nephew Keith Deal and wife Terri of Faith; sister-in-law Miriam Kuykendall Deal of Faith; and numerous cousins.
Service: The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 at Faith Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Joe Smith, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Faith Baptist Church on Thursday, Aug. 16 from 1-2 p.m.
Memorials: May be made to Faith Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 84, Faith, NC 28041.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Lutheran Home and Dr. Willard C. Thompson, III.
