Inez Parker Kistler
Inez Parker Kistler, 82, of Coddle Creek Hwy., Mooresville, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
Born May 21, 1924 in Asheboro, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Lee and Nancy Lambert Parker. Mrs. Kistler was a retired bookkeeper for Southern Constructors in Mooresville. She was a member of Coddle Creek ARP Church and prior to her marriage she was a member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church. She was very active in the women of the church group, a member of the Upper Room Sunday school class and active with the senior citizens group.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, R. Donald Kistler; children, Myra K. Gibson and husband, Don, of Piedmont, S.C., Karen J. Kistler of Mooresville; sisters, Winnie Campbell of Altavista, Va. and Alda Stutts of Mooresville; grandchildren, Keri, Josh, and Kayla Gibson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Buren Parker, Hubert Parker, David Parker, Lewis Parker; and sisters, Lorene Baxter, Nellie Lackey, and Callie Williams. Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. At Coddle Creek ARP Church with Rev. James A. Hunt officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Coddle Creek ARP Church General Fund and/or T.W. Kistler Mission Fund.
