Betty B. Misenheimer

ROCKWELL - Mrs. Betty Jo Burchett Misenheimer, 79, of Rockwell, passed away at her home on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.

Betty was born on Dec. 1, 1933, in Wilkes County, a daughter of the late Dewey and Mamie Minton Burchett.

Mrs. Misenheimer was educated in Wilkes County schools, was a homemaker and was a Baptist. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and loved swinging in her porch swing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Russell Misenheimer; son Donald Russell Misenheimer; brothers Bobby Burchett and Thomas Burchett; and sons-in-law Roland Heard and Tony Peacock.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra "Debbie" Misenheimer Heard and Dona Misenheimer Peacock, both of Salisbury; two brothers, Richard Niemiera and wife Diane of Texas and Ray Burchett and wife Donna of Rockwell; sister Helen Sprinkle and husband John of Rockwell; sisters-in-law Joyce Burchett of Rockwell and Elaine Burchett of Salisbury; four grandsons, Ryan Heard and wife Michelle of Rockwell, Nick Heard and fiancee' Brandy of Faith and Austin and Aaron Peacock of Raleigh; great-grandson Mason Heard of Rockwell; and two great-granddaughters, Hannah Heard of Rockwell and Lilli Heard of Faith.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at Powles Funeral Home.

Service: Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Powles Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Bruce Sheeks, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Brookhill Memorial Gardens.

Memorials: May be made to Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care.
