Tuesday, March 21, 2006 — Bural Nathaniel Jordan, 75, of 358 Random Dr., New London, died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, in NorthEast Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. today at Palestine United Methodist Church.

His funeral will be at 4 p.m. at Palestine United Methodist Church, where he was a member. The Revs. Nick Rochester and Boyd Joyce will officiate. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.

Born March 17, 1931, in Stanly County, he was a son of the late James Roper and Laura Harris Jordan.

A fabricator, he was a member of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class at Palestine UMC.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Barbee Jordan of the home; a son, Bural Nathaniel Jordan Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; a stepson, Reggie M. Barbee of Greenville, S.C.; a daughter, Tonia Jefferis of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Bural Nathaniel Jordan III, James Carl Jordan, Amanda Michelle Jordan, Sarah Elizabeth Jefferis and George Carpenter Jefferis III; a brother, Delmar Jordan of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and a sister, Maychree Edwards of Albemarle.

Memorials may be made to Palestine United Methodist Church, 36414 Palestine Road, Albemarle, NC.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle was in charge.
