SALISBURY - Carrie Kluttz Graham, 102, of Salisbury, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.

Born May 12, 1910 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Roxana Park Kluttz.

Her grandfather, Charles Franklin Kluttz, served as a guard at the Salisbury Confederate Prison under Captain William Howard. She was educated in the Salisbury schools and for 48 years she was employed with Cone Mills, Salisbury Plant before retiring Aug. 16, 1977.

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Cone Mill, Stallings Memorial Baptist Church, and the First United Church of Christ Senior Citizens Clubs and the Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Council M. Graham on Aug. 12, 1977; brothers, G. Dewey Kluttz, Lonnie C. L. Kluttz, Clyde F. Kluttz and Alvin C. Kluttz; and sisters, Esther Kluttz Rinehart, Maggie Kluttz. Bonds.

She is survived by eight nieces and two nephews.

Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Ridenhour, Minister of St. Peter's Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Summersett Funeral Home.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, or the Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Auxiliary.

Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Graham family.
