Arnold W. Drye
Arnold W. Drye, 82, of Moneta, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2001 in the Carriage Hill Retirement Center.
He was born April 27, 1919 in Charlotte, North Carolina, a son of the late Floyd G. Drye and Alice Lipe Drye. He was a retired employee of the Rubatex Corporation, was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Freeda Wyatt Drye; two daughters, Jo Rosenthal, Villages, Fla., Jan Nichols, Evington; a son, Lane Drye, Bedford; four brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted from the graveside at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at 12 noon, by the Rev. Riley Smith.
The family requests that those wishing to make memorials consider the Moneta Rescue Squad.
Friends may call after 12 noon today and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
