Everett "Ray" Spiva, 63, Neosho, MO, died at 8:45 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2006, at his home, following a four-year illness.
He was born June 17, 1943, in Stella, MO, to Everett and Ruby (Lentz) Spiva.
Mr. Spiva was a lifelong area resident.
He worked for Yellow Freight Trucking Company for thirty years and enjoyed fishing and farming.
Ray is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two children, Alan Spiva, Riverton, KS and Sandi Green, Joplin; two step children, Melinda Endicott, Joplin and Lance Burton, Nixa; one brother, Albert Spiva, Seneca; three sisters, Patsy Kruse, Wyandotte, OK, Ruby Baker, Wheaton, and Carolyn Hatfield, Dallas, TX; four grandchildren and five step grandchildren
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, at Union Cemetery, Stella, MO. Larry Kruse and Russell Kruse will officiate.
Nephews, Danny Hatfield, Terry Kruse, H. C. Woolard, Kendal Baker, Joey Spiva and Bill Spiva, will serve as pallbearers.
