Mary Virginia Trexler Rufty
Mrs. Mary Virginia Trexler Rufty, 71 of Salisbury passed away on April 21, 2015 at Novant Rowan Medical Center. Mrs. Rufty was born May 27, 1943 daughter of the late Fred Trexler and Stella Pickler Trexler.
Mrs. Rufty was a 1962 graduate of East Rowan High School and also of Salisbury Business College. She was a Manager for Lee Jeans and was also Manager for Carolina American Tours. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. Mrs. Rufty enjoyed shopping, traveling and she loved animals.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Brown.
Mrs. Rufty is survived by her son Fredrick "Van" Brown and wife Luanne of Salisbury, Jeff Brown of Salisbury, grandchildren Justin Brown, Ashley Michelle Brown, Michelle Matthews, Samantha Pressley, and great grandchild Luciana Pressley. She is also survived by her sisters Annie Lou Ingram and husband Johnny of Charlotte and Frances Goodnight and husband Ronald of Salisbury.
The family will receive friends at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Family Life Center on Friday, April 24th from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
The Funeral Service will be at St Matthew's Lutheran Church on Friday, April 24th at 11:00 AM conducted by Rev. Gary Coble, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Bringle Ferry Road.
