Louise Harkey Trexler
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Esther Louise Harkey Trexler, 95, of Nashville, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, surrounded by her family.
She was born Oct. 15, 1916, in Rowan County, N.C., to the late Daniel Monroe and Mary Frances Crowell Harkey. Educated in Rowan County, N.C., schools, she attended Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C. She was a member of Lutheran Church of America.
Mrs. Trexler was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harold Dunham Trexler; and is survived by their daughters, Nancy Trexler Wombacher of Franklin, Tenn., (Frank, Livingston, Mont.) and Linda Trexler Crawford (Mac) of Nashville, Tenn. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Andrew Dunham Crawford (Joy), Ellen McCall Crawford Gillespy (Houston), Matthew Scott Wombacher, Clay Monroe Wombacher (Brittany); and seven great-grandchildren: Christofer Braedyn Wombacher, Anna Grayson Crawford, Catherine McCall Crawford, Lela Hays Wombacher, Clarke Crawford Gillespy, Violet Eve Wombacher and Elizabeth Dunham Crawford.
Service: Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, April 26 at 11 a.m. at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C., with Pastor Kelly Ottinger of Bethel United Methodist Church officiating.
The family would like to thank the Staff of Blakeford and Woodcrest at Green Hills, Nashville, Tenn., for their dedication and care of Mrs. Trexler.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2380 Long Ferry Road, Salisbury NC 28146.
