Margaret Miller Owensby
Margaret Miller Owensby, 86, of Rockwell, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, NC.
She was born September 10, 1934 in Gold Hill, NC to Earl and Mary Hill Miller. Margaret graduated from Richfield High School in 1952, and later worked as a seamstress at Rowan Industries and Rags in Rockwell. She loved crafting and won many awards at the fair each year. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James William Owensby; brother, James Miller; and nephew, Jerry Miller.
Margaret is survived by her son, John Owensby of Rockwell, NC; niece, Barbara (Robert) Hurley of Gold Hill, NC; and two nephews, Ronald (Tammy) Miller of Rockwell, NC, and James Ray (Angie) Miller of Myrtle Beach, SC.
The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on April 1, 2021, in the St. Paul's Wesleyan Church, Gold Hill, NC, with Pastor Justin Johnson, officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends and relatives following the service.
