Georgia Barger Lookabill
Georgia Barger Lookabill, 94, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.
Born March 5, 1927 in Rowan County, to the late George and Carrie Park Barger. Mrs. Lookabill retired from Pauline Knitting after 57 years of service. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Lookabill loved her family, enjoyed her garden and flowers was a very giving person and enjoyed helping others. A active member of her church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved the Lord.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lookabill, whom she was married to for 50 years.
Georgia is survived by her two Daughters, Jan (David) Gore of Landis, Myra (Joel) Hiatt of Salisbury, NC., and her sister, Ellen Fink.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matt (Lindsey) Hiatt, Mandy (Jon) Lingle and Michael Gore and by her great grandchildren, Levi , Paige , Kole , Maverick and Kate.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Sean Barrett and Pastor Joel Hiatt officiating.
Memorials may be made to Saint Peters Lutheran Church, 2570 St. Peters Church Road, or to Trinity Lutheran Church, 108 West Rice Street, Landis, or to Westside Baptist Church, PO Box, 2352, Salisbury, NC.
