Jacine Hatley Little, 89, formerly of Albemarle, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, September 22 at Hospice of Wake County in Raleigh.
Her funeral will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 25 at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle and will be officiated by Rev. Wayne Richardson and Rev. Reece English. Burial will take place 3 p.m. Monday, September 26 at the Fairview Memorial Park. She was born August 14, 1922 in Stanly County to the late Jasper L. and Roberta “Bertie” Ussery Hatley. She attended Efird School and was a retired employee of Richfield Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Little was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle where she was a junior high Sunday school teacher for many years. She also enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Little was married to William J. Little, who preceded her in death June 20, 1983. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia “Pat” Little Messick and husband J. Kent of Cary, grandchildren Sherri L. Sutton and husband Douglas of Enka, N.C. and Christopher Haire and wife Maria of Apex, N.C., and great-grandchildren David F. Sutton, Michael D. Sutton, Johnathan W. Haire and Elisa N. Haire. The family will receive friends at the Stanly Funeral Home Sunday from 1-2:45 p.m. prior to the funeral. Memorials can be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, P.O.
