Annie Lambert Fisher

Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011 ― Mrs. Annie Lou Lambert Fisher, 80, of Skyland Drive, Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her residence, after a battle with leukemia.

Her funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Gordon Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Tom Fleming and burial followed at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2011 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Mrs. Fisher was born January 31, 1931, in Stanly County, daughter of the late John F. Lambert and Sarah Hinson Lambert.

She was a member of First Assembly and was a retired housekeeper at CMC-Northeast. Annie loved taking care of her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Lonnie Lambert, Horace Lambert, Stancil Lambert, Archie Lambert and R.J. Lambert; and a sister, Katie R. Furr.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by her husband, Bobby Fisher; son, Kevin Fisher and wife Mandy; daughter, Pamela Kuhn; sisters, Bertie Lee Ritchie, Betty Morgan and husband Ray, Patsy L. Honeycutt and husband Gene, and Mary Brault and husband Fred; brother, Carl Lambert and wife Johnnie; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care and Northeast Oncology for their care during Annie’s battle with leukemia.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.

Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.
