Nancy Eagle Liverman Roughton
Nancy Eagle Liverman Roughton, 90, of 143 Rosedale Drive, Elizabeth City, NC died Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Waterbrooke Assisted Living. A native of Rowan County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Eagle and Mary Ella Ritchie Eagle and the widow of Allen Benjamin Roughton and the father of her children, James Milton Liverman, Jr. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Lee and husband Harry and Bonita “Bonnie” Mabus and husband Robert all of Elizabeth City, NC; one sister, Della Mae Wright of Kannapolis, NC; one brother, Bobby Lee Eagle and wife Coleen of Kannapolis, NC, five grandchildren: eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was pre-deceased by two sisters and four brothers.
A funeral service will be Monday, December 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the funeral home lobby and at other times at the residence of Robert and Bonnie Mabus, 1906 West Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
