Sunday, March 25, 2012 ― Peggy Ann Rowland Poplin, age 76, of Albemarle, passed away on March 21, 2012 at her home with her loving husband by her side.
The family received friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 23.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, March 24 at 2 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ervin Houser. Burial followed at the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Poplin was born in Stanly County on February 26, 1936, to the late Claude Melton Rowland and the late Martha Mae Morton Rowland.
She is survived her husband of 57 years, Edward William Poplin, of the home; her niece, Marie Hatley of Albemarle; grandniece, Missy Hedrick and her husband John of Charlotte; grandnephew, Michael Hatley of Albemarle; and great-grandniece, Piper Hedrick of Charlotte.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, or the American Heart Association.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Poplin family.
