Clara Martha "Ellen" Fink
Clara Martha "Ellen" Barger Fink, 89, of Faith, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at her home in Faith. She was born on April 14, 1933 in Rowan County to the late George Barger and Carrie Park Barger.
She was a graduate of Granite Quarry High School and a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Ellen worked at Cannon Mills at both Plant 7 and Plant 1 before becoming a Branch Manager for F&M Bank and opened the branch in Faith where she eventually retired from. She enjoyed gardening, walking and visiting with friends. Her family was her pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Ben P. Fink; five sisters, Margaret Jones, Georgia Lookabill, Nellie Sides, Mary Mustard and Frances Hess; and brother Lee Barger.
Ellen is survived by her children, Bryan (Patti) Fink of Conway, SC, Tamela (Dean) Safrit of Faith, Chandra Fink of Faith and Sonja (Curtis ) Dunbar of Union, SC; grandchildren Tonya German , Natasha Brinegar, Travis Moore, Tiffany Kirk , Aaron Safrit, Chase Safrit, Ben Dunbar, Daniel Dunbar, Susan Wolform, Karrie Melvin, Michael Fink; great grandchildren, Caylynn Westberg, Bella German, Finley Safrit, Dalton Safrit, Tatum Safrit, Palmer Wolform, Emily Kirk, Kamryn Remmer, Savannah Remmer and Kinsley Melvin; and sister in-law Madeline Johnson.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday July 26, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Ken Fink
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church
