SALISBURY - Charles Burley "Charley" Treece, 71, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at Autumn Care of Salisbury.

He was born April 20, 1943, in Richfield, a son of the late Grady McGee Treece and Emma Lou Hill Treece.

He was educated in the Rowan County schools and retired from Vulcan Materials in Gold Hill.

Mr. Treece was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed riding his Moped and visiting friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Otis Treece; and sisters Helen Anderson, Gladys Hartman, Ruby Kluttz, Dorothy Head, Mildred Trexler and Ethel Vanhoy.

Survivors include sisters Lillie Morgan and husband David of Salisbury and Mary Lou Bowers and husband O.D. of Kannapolis; and brother Luther Treece and wife Colleen of Salisbury.

Visitation: The family will be at Powles Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday.

Service: Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Powles Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Joe Black, pastor of Eastside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Brookhill Memorial Gardens.

Memorials: May be made to Eastside Baptist Church.

Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the Treece family.
