Lester Lee Frick, 76, of 625 Bethany Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 25th, 2009, at Stanly Manor in Albemarle.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 26th, at Stanly Funeral Home from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be at 11 AM on Monday, July 27th, at Centerview Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC. Rev. Todd Galloway and Rev. Charles Spivey will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Born March 20th, 1933 in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Cletus Frick and Lizzie Dennis Frick Ingram. He was educated at North Carolina State University and a retired Aeronautical Engineer with NASA at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He was a member of Centerview Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Airforce where he earned the rank of First Lieutenant. He loved airplanes, gardening, and yard-work.
He is survived by his wife; Pat Frick of the home; one son, Douglas Glenn Frick and wife, Lynn, of Muncie, Indiana; one brother, J.D. Ingram of Richfield, NC; and three grandchildren, Ryan Frick, Erin Frick, and Brittany Frick.
A sister, Kay Whitlock, preceded him in death.
