KANNAPOLIS - Lena Moose Rich, 89, 902 Overhill Road, formerly of Grace Avenue, died Wednesday (June 20, 2001) at the Salisbury home of daughter Margaret Kreimes, with whom she lived.
Born Nov. 12, 1911, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Rich was a daughter of the late Arthur Farrell and Tena Rowland Moose. In 1980, she retired from Cannon Mills Co. sample department. She was a member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to daughter Margaret Kreimes, include daughters Nancy White, Mount Pleasant, Martha Womble, Buies Creek, and Rosemary Nerren, Concord; brothers Archie, Harold and Melvin Moose, all of Mount Pleasant; sister Birdia Baker, Kannapolis; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m., Saturday, Bethel Bearcreek United Church of Christ, Mount Pleasant, conducted by the Rev. Charles Jones. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-9 p.m., Friday, Whitley's Funeral Home.
Memorials: Rowan Regional Home Health and Hospice, Salisbury, NC.
