Barbara McClester
MT. PLEASANT, N.C. Mrs. Barbara Krimminger McClester, 75, of Hwy. 49, Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at Morningside Assisted Living.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, at St. John's Lutheran Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The McClester family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening, Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. McClester was born May 27, 1936 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late T. Woodrow Krimminger and Julia Barringer Krimminger. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She worked many years at the Concord Tribune. She enjoyed going on trips with the St. John's Grange group, crochet and needle work. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry McClester, and son Darrell McClester.
She is survived by a daughter, Patti Moore and her husband, Hue of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Tommy Krimminger of Little River, S.C. and Gerald Krimminger of Concord; grandchildren, Jason Garrett Almond and Kimberly Erin Almond; great-grandchildren, Ethan Garrett and Caleb Joseph Almond.
