Thursday, June 18, 2009 — Ethel Morgan Hatley, 93, of 620 Heathwood Drive, Albemarle, died at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20. Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Albemarle. Pastor John Futterer will officiate. Born Sept. 9, 1915 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ida Earnhardt Morgan. She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Co. and a member of First Lutheran Church, Albemarle. She was married to the late Charles “Dink” E. Hatley Sr. She is survived by a son, Charles E. Hatley Jr. and wife, Sue, of Troy, a grandson and a granddaughter. The family would like to thank the staff of Forrest Oakes, the medical staff and doctors of Stanly Regional Medical Center and the members of Hospice of Stanly County for the excellent care that was given to our mother. Memorials may be made to: Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001. Stanly Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangement.
