Pauline Troutman Barringer

Pauline Troutman Barringer, 92, of Gold Hill, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019.

She was born October 13, 1926, in Cabarrus County to the late Adam Monroe Troutman and Kattie Brady Troutman. Mrs. Barringer attended Richfield High School and retired from Thorlo in Rockwell. She was an active member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Gold Hill as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and crocheting. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barringer was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Murphy Barringer, Sr., and sisters, Leah Ellis, Verna Mae Cook, Mary Dunaway, Esther Holshouser, and Elizabeth Efird.

She is survived by her sons, Dewey Murphy Barringer, Jr., and wife, Sheila, of Salisbury and Sammy Lee Barringer and wife, Judy, of Denton; brother, George Troutman of Salisbury; sister, Lucy Pung of Oakland, CA; grandchildren, Jennifer Stirewalt and husband, Douglas, Wendy DiStefano and husband, Derek, Mark Barringer and wife, Kristy, and Daniel Barringer and wife, Allison; and great-grandchildren, Phillip and Katie Stirewalt, Holly DiStefano, Jace Barringer, and Aliyah and Blake Compton.

The family will greet friends Thursday, August 8, 2019, 3:00 pm-4:00 pm at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.

The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm on Thursday, in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Ruth Ann Sipe.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 4401 St. Stephen's Church Road, Gold Hill, NC.
