PECK, Eli W., b. 24 Sep 1824, d. 7 Oct 1864, son of John Peck, Jr. & Leah Eagle. He married Rosanna Stiers. Enlisted on 9 Mar 1863 in Company H, 8th NC Infantry. He was captured at Cold Harbor, VA on 1 Jun 1864 and confined at Pt. Lookout, MD until transferred to Elmira, NY on 12 Jul 1864. He died in the Federal Prison at Elmira, NY on 7 Oct 1864.
