CONCORD - Edna Louise Furr Smith, 88, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at Transitional Health Services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p .m. Friday, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Concord, with the Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Concord.
Mrs. Smith was born May 29, 1917, in Stanly County, the daughter of the late Durant Furr and the late Lexie Arey Furr. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Concord. She had been employed by Kayser Roth Hosiery as as supervisor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Smith.
Survivors include her brother, Wilbur Furr, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care she received at Concord Place and Transitional Health Services.
The family mee ting place will be the home of her nephew, Carl Misenheimer, 661 Forest St., Concord.
