Jennie Hall

Jennie Vee Barringer Hall, 93 years of age, of Gold Hill, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Jennie was born January 6, 1922 in Stanly County to the late William George Harter Barringer and the late Dora Frick Barringer Culp. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Adam Allen Hall, who passed away in 1994; and sisters, Maye Ennis, Ruth Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Matton's Grove United Methodist Church, 24732 Matton's Grove Church Rd., Gold Hill. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Tony Bowman and Rev. Jim Groome, will follow at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary. The burial will be in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home of her son, Lester Hall.

She is survived by her son, Lester Hall and wife Kathy of Gold Hill; daughter, Judy Eudy and husband C.L. of New London; four grandchildren, Robert Eudy and wife Denise of Albemarle, Amy Morgan and husband Roy of Gold Hill, Kim File and husband Calvin of Salisbury, and Allen Eudy and wife Rachael; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Morgan, Adam and Beth Eudy; three sisters, Mildred Isenhour of China Grove, Irene Troutman of Richfield, and Christine Ridenhour of New London.

Jennie loved her family and her church friends. She was independent, strong willed, and always put others before herself. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and was an avid animal lover. She retired from Cannon Mills, and was a faithful member of Matton's Grove UMC.

Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.
