Sunday, September 16, 2007 — Rossie Lee (Hartsell) Lambert of 403 Running Creek Church Road, Locust, died at 2:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday with a 30-minute state at Bethel Baptist Church in Locust. The Clergy will be Rev. Charlie Littlejohn of Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Locust. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Florence Petrea Hartsell; five brothers, Floyd Hartsell, Willie Hartsell, Buford Hartsell, Clarence Hartsell, Ernest Hartsell; and two sisters, Vernie Hinson and Brettie Barbee. Mrs. Lambert is survived by 1 daughter and 3 sons who gave her a wealth of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lambert is survived by her husband, James Clayton Lambert of Locust; a daughter, Nancy Austin and husband Ned of Oakboro; three sons, Kenneth Lambert and wife Vicki of New London, Michael Lambert of Oakboro and Mark Lambert and wife Gwen of Oakboro; a brother, Lewis Hartsell of Locust; five granchildren, Chad Austin, Traci Baucom, Brandi Amick, Kaitlyn Lambert and Clay Lambert; two stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will meet at the home. Memorials can be made to Bethel Baptist Church, Locust, NC; or Hospice Of Stanly County. Services performed under the direction of Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle.
