Wilma Ross Lambert
Wilma Ross Lambert, age 88, of Albemarle, passed away on October 8, 2011, at her home.
The family received friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Monday from 6-8 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the home.
The funeral service was held at Canton Baptist Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Mark Mabry. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lambert was born in Stanly County on October 31, 1922, to the late Edmund Orestus Ross and Rebecca Penelope Deese Ross.
She is survived by husband of 68 years, Grover Lambert; daughter, Becky Helms and husband David of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren, Robin Helms of Woodstock, Ga. and Mark Helms and wife Rita of Raleigh; and brother, William Ross of Richfield; and sister, Ramelle Huneycutt of Albemarle.
Memorials may be made to Canton Baptist Church, or Hospice of Stanly County.
