ROCKWELL - Martha McCombs Pless, 78, of Rockwell, died Sunday, May 14, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
Mrs. Pless was born Sept. 15, 1927, in Rowan County County to late Luther Craven McCombs and Lizzie Ruth Lefler McCombs. She is a 1944 graduate of Rockwell High School.
Mrs. Pless was a homemaker, member of Grace Bible Church, Rockwell and she supported the Missionary Causes.
Survivors include her former husband Mack O. Pless of Rockwell; son Phillip Alexander Pless, Sr. and wife Barbara S. Pless of Rockwell; three grandchildren Phillip Alexander Pless, Jr. of Rockwell, Adrienne M. Pless of Wilmington and Sterling Pless of Rockwell.
Service: 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Bible Church, Rockwell conducted by Rev. Don Lyerly, Former Pastor and Captain Chris Thornhill, Salvation Army, Salisbury. Burial will follow at Lyerly Evangelical Church Cemetery, Rockwell.
Visitation: 6-7 p.m. tonight at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
Memorials: Salvation Army, or to Rowan Helping Ministries.
