Gladys Helms Peeler
Gladys Helms Peeler, 64, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at her residence.
She was born November 13, 1953 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Lester B. Helms and the late Gatsie Gregory Helms.
Gladys attended Rowan County Schools, and worked as a school teacher.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin L. Peeler, brother Calvin B. Helms and sister, Nancy Goodman.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christina Peeler of the home, Tammy Redman (David) of White Lake, Michigan, Holly Shaver (Johnny) of Albemarle and Karie Lefler , of Knoxville, TN, sister, Elizabeth Perry (J.L.) of Salisbury, eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 1:00 – 2:30 PM Friday, December 22, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church, 3760 Stokes Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC.
Service: 3:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Jeff Perry officiating, burial will follow at St. Luke’s Reform Church Cemetery.
Memorials: The American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
