Gaither Morgan Miller Kluttz

SALISBURY - Gaither Morgan Miller Kluttz, 102, of Salisbury, died Sunday (Oct. 23, 2005) at The Meadows of Rockwell.

Born Oct. 23, 1903, in Rowan County, Mrs. Kluttz was a daughter of the late Henry Morgan and Nannie Cauble Morgan. She was educated in Rowan County schools and had worked for Cannon Mills in Rockwell. Mrs. Kluttz was the oldest member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, kind manners, devotion and love to family and friends.

Mrs. Kluttz was preceded in death by two husbands, Walter Lee Miller, who died in 1969, and Dewey Kluttz, who died Feb. 20, 1991; and sons Joe Henry Miller, who died Feb. 15, 2005, and Fred Miller.

Survivors include brothers Clifford Morgan and Raymond Earl Morgan, both of Salisbury; grandchildren Debbie Lester, Jeff Miller and Sandra Nance, all of Rockwell; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and stepson Don Kluttz of Salisbury.

Service : The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peters Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. David Ridenhour, pastor, with burial in Luthers Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation : The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell from 7-8:30 tonight.

Memorials : Memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund; or Luther’s Lutheran Church.
