ALBEMARLE -- Mr. Lambert, 64, died Sunday, August 3, 2003 at his home. Born January 26, 1939 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of Pauline Lowder Lambert and Henry Davidson Lambert. He was retired from Winecoff Electric as an Electrical Contractor. In retirement he was self employed. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at Canton Baptist Church with a 30 minute state with The Rev. Farrell Shimpock and Rev. Ken Gibson, officiating. Burial will be in Canton Baptist Church Cemetery, Albemarle, NC. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle.
Mr. Lambert graduated from Endy School and later Rowan Technical and Randolph Technical Schools for electrical training. His church was his life. He sang in the choir and quartet. He served as a deacon, chairman of the building committee, Baptist men and the cemetery committee. Mr. Lambert was also a member of the Singing Americans.
The family will be at his home, 24395 Canton Road, Albemarle, NC.
Survivors are wife, Pat Hatley Lambert of the home; daughters, Wendy Ann Lambert Fink of Albemarle, NC and Susan Dean Lambert Hessman of Albemarle, NC; sister, Lilly Ann Williams of Chattanooga, TN; grandson, Samuel Isaac Efird and granddaughter, Sarah Gabrielle Efird.
Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle is in charge of arrangements.
