Billie Jean Gibbs Basinger, 85, of Salisbury passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Whitestone Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro. She was born April 13, 1931 in Clarksville, TN , the daughter of the late Mac Gibbs and the late Virgie Alley Gibbs.
Billie was a housewife, member of the Eastern star and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Granite Quarry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Basinger, Sr. in July 17, 2011, her brother, Ernest Gibbs and sister Margaret Blackwell. and all her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Donald Ray Basinger, Jr. of Clayton, NC, daughter, Brenda Morgan-Goble of Sherrills Ford, NC, sister, Mary Murphy of Nashville, TN, grandchildren, Anthony Grey Basinger (Darrell Lynn), Joshua Wayne Creech, Brian Morgan (Kristen) and Sara Goble, great-grandchildren, Garrett, Rachel and Julia.
Service: 2:00 PM Monday, January 22, 2018 at Brookhill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Jim Vickrey officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to service time.
