Lillian Frick Basinger

SPENCER --Lillian Lucille Frick Basinger, 85, a resident at Magnolia Gardens Extended Care Community, died Sunday (June 1, 2003) at Magnolia Gardens, after a period of declining health.

Born Jan. 15, 1918, in Rowan County, Mrs. Basinger, a daughter of the late Theodore and Edith Stoner Frick, was educated in the Rowan County schools.

She worked at Macanal Mills and later retired as a cafeteria worker from Salisbury City Schools. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

A son, Benny Clark Basinger, died Sept. 27, 1988.

Survivors include son Bobby Basinger, Salisbury; daughter Brenda Misenheimer, Linwood; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services: Graveside, 11 a.m. Tuesday, City Memorial Park, Salisbury, conducted by the Rev. Tim Flint, pastor, Lakeview Baptist Church, Linwood.

Visitation: At the graveside after the service.

Lyerly Funeral Home, Salisbury, is in charge.
