MECKLENBURG - Herman Grady Morgan, Sr., 81, of Huntersville died Monday, December 31, 2007, at the Huntersville Oaks Nursing Home.
He was born on September 12, 1926, in Salisbury to the late Arthur Lee Morgan and Ella Casper Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a member of Huntersville United Methodist Church, was an Administrative Officer for the FBI where he retired after 39 years of service, and was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his son Dr. Herman Grady Morgan, Jr. (Denise Darden) of Wilmington; daughters, Dr. Phoebe Morgan of Flagstaff, Az. and Jenny White (Jimmy) of Charlotte; brothers, Irvin Morgan (Gladys) of Charlotte and Gilbert Morgan (Betty) of Mint Hill; sisters, Betty Morgan of Salisbury and Ruth Albright (Jimmy) of Salisbury; and grandchildren, Dr. Nicholas A. Morgan and B. Scott Morgan.
He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Roscoe Morgan, brothers Spencer and Lincoln Morgan, and sisters Ruby Goodman and Virginia Poole.
Services: 7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Raymer Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Rintz officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial: Interment will be held at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Friday.
Memorials: Huntersville United Methodist Church, PO Box 378, Huntersville, NC 28070.
