SALISBURY - Bertha Annie Casper Myers, 87, of Salisbury, died Sunday (Oct. 23, 2005) at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
Mrs. Myers was born on July 4, 1918 to the late Ludara Reid Casper and the late Eli Casper, Sr. She was educated in the Rowan County schools. Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and is known for her caning chair bottoms. She was a member of St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church and the women 's Sunday school class.
Mrs. Myers husband Buford T. Myers, Sr. preceded her in death.
Survivors include nephews Terry and Susan Hill, Robert and Dollie Shaver, Albert Ray Shaver, Roy Watson, Leon and Geraldine Casper all of Salisbury and Bobby Watson of Rockwell; nieces Aileen Hill and Mary Rose Carter both of Salisbury and Ida Sneed of Rockwell; brother Eli Casper, Jr. of Rockwell.
Service: Graveside service 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rev. Gary Coble, pastor, officiating.
Visitation: Following the graveside service in the church fellowship building.
Memorials: St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church Family Life Center.
