Reuben Arnold Carver, 77, of Albemarle passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Stanly Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday, July 23, 2015 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Otis Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30 until 10:30 prior to the funeral service.
Born April 23, 1938 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Jay Carver and Ophie Kimrey Carver and was a retired painter. Mr. Carver was a member of the New London First Baptist Church.
Mr. Carver is survived by his wife Pearlie Morgan Carver of the home. Other survivors include sons Jeffery T. Carver and wife Robin of Locust and Jimmy D. Carver and wife Kelly of Richfield, daughter Tammy C. Davis and husband Brian of Albemarle, brother Robert Carver of Albemarle, sisters Vernie Coley and Mary Scott of Albemarle, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to New London First Baptist Church, New London, NC.
