Lizzie Leona Ludwig Deese, 83, 970 Jackson Road, died Tuesday (Oct. 19, 2004) at Genesis Eldercare.
Born Oct. 24, 1920, in Rowan County, Mrs. Deese, a daughter of the late George E. Ludwig and Amy Earnhardt Ludwig Ritchie, was educated in the Rowan County schools.
She retired from Laguna Sportswear Mfg. and was a member of Lane Street Church of God.
Her husband, Clonnie David "Tom" Deese, died Feb. 22, 2003.
Survivors include son David Deese Jr., Salisbury; daughter Nina Ridenhour, Salisbury; brother B.B. Ludwig, Kannapolis; sister Vada Earnhardt, Rockwell; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home chapel, China Grove, conducted by the Rev. Wade Easom, pastor, Lane Street Church of God. Burial, Rowan Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of daughter Nina Ridenhour, 1020 Jackson Road.
