David Gerald Kesler, 80, of Cleveland, NC passed away March 23, 2016 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born July 24, 1935 in Rowan County he was a son of the late Crawford Lucious Kesler and Juanita Helen Mill Kesler.
Dave served his country in the US Air Force as a navigator and EMC operator with the rank of Captain. He later retired from the US Postal Service as a rural letter carrier in the Cleveland and Cool Springs area. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Sandford Kesler.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna McDaniel Kesler whom he married July 1, 1960; sons, David Lee Kesler, William Curtis Kesler (Wendy); daughters, Margaret Monique Kesler, Doris Renee Cooley; brother, Larry Kesler (Sherrill); grandchildren, Daniel Jake Cooley, Meredith Grace Cooley, Nolan Grant Beaver, Michael Ray Bogle; great-grandsons, Malachi Tobias Cooley and Toryn Syrius Cooley.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday (March 26) at Old Providence Presbyterian Church, South River Church Road, Cleveland. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
