Anne Rink

Emily Anne Honeycutt Rink, of Salisbury, NC passed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 14, 2015.

Born July 16, 1927, Anne was the daughter of Alfred Bennie Honeycutt and Emily Blackwelder Honeycutt of Salisbury, NC. She attended Christiana Lutheran Church as a child and young adult remaining a member all of her life.

Anne graduated from Catawba College where she was the May Queen in 1944. After graduation, she taught history and economics at Rockwell High until the birth of her first child, Jenny.

Anne had a love of music and served as the director of youth music at Coburn Memorial Methodist Church from 1964 to 1970. In the 1970's she returned to the teaching field where she taught history at West Rowan High School. Her retirement and the allure of grandchildren brought her to Mount Pleasant, SC where she became active in Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. While in Mount Pleasant, she particularly enjoyed walking the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge as well as volunteering with the turtle patrol on Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. She was an avid bridge player and excelled at crossword puzzles, especially those found in the Salisbury Post newspaper.

In later years Anne relocated to the assisted living facility at Trinity Oaks Lutheran Home in Salisbury, NC. Most recently, Anne was moved to the Virginia Casey Center at Trinity Oaks, being under the loving care of the outstanding staff of that facility.

Anne is survived by her sister Rose H. Dedmon and husband Robert Donald Dedmon of Salisbury, NC; sister, Nancy H. Fisher and husband Wade Fisher of Salisbury, NC; daughter, Jennifer Anne Craft of Salisbury, NC; son, John F. Rink, Jr (Jeff) and wife, Connie C. Rink of Mount Pleasant, SC; granddaughter, Megan Alyssa Craft of St. Paul, MN; granddaughter Elizabeth Parker Rink of Mount Pleasant, SC; grandson, John Bonner Rink of Mount Pleasant, SC and Jane H.
