Phyllis Cagle Parker
Phyllis Cagle Parker, 75, of Badin passed away Monday October 13, 2014 in CMC Northeast Medical Center. Her funeral service will be 4 PM Thursday October 16, 2014 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Wednesday evening at Stanly Funeral Home.
Born November 21, 1938 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late William Clyde Cagle and Bertha Lambert Cagle. She was a graduate of Badin High School and ran the Cafe at Badin for many years. Mrs. Parker was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and she loved reading, flowers and her beloved companion “Lady.”
She was preceded in death by her husband Max Brandon Parker.
Survivors include sons Steve Parker of Badin, Toby Parker and wife Gail of Badin, Terry Wilkinson of Albemarle, and Johnny Parker and wife Lauren of Badin; daughter Sherry Parker Crowell of Badin; brothers Lewis Cagle of Albemarle and Mike Barbee of Albemarle; sisters Bertha Lorene Bost of New London, Virginia Eury of Albemarle, Bonnie Williams of Richfield and Martha Ann Poplin of Albemarle; grandchildren Stephanie Parker Bunch, Casey Parker, Justin Crowell, Shea Russell, Liam Crowell, and Kaylee Parker and 5 great-grandchildren.
