Clifford A. Lewis, 88, Neosho, died on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006 at McDonald County Nursing Home in Anderson, MO, following a long illness.
Mr. Lewis was born April 6, 1918 in Granby, MO, the son of W. C. and Mary E. (Hayworth) Lewis. He graduated from Granby High School and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as an electrician for Koch's in Joplin and was a cattle farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and horses and was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon.
Clifford married Charlotte (Beeler) on Aug. 4, 1940 at Joplin, MO and she preceded him in death on Feb. 4, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Lewis and wife, Jean, Stark City, MO; Bill Lewis and wife, Beverly, Neosho; four grandchildren, Kim Sherwood, Timothy Lewis, Kerri Patterson and Curt Lewis; 8 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandson and 5 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mindy Nicole.
